Hackathon

Event Description

The typical IT networks of SMEs, schools, hospitals, and town halls consist of peer-to-peer Windows 10 or hybrid (Linux server + Windows 10 workstations). Usually there are no tools available out of the box for managing the security of such networks.

The hackathon teams will develop tools that will allow the centralized management of such networks. Such tools would have the following minimal features:

  • provides an overview of the workstations’ status (updates, open ports, etc);
  • allows the remote updating of Windows 10 and MS Office (both manual and automatic)
  • allows the remote operation of the firewalls of Windows 10 workstations and the Linux server
  • allows remote scanning for malware

At the end of the hackathon, the winner will receive a diploma, and if they wish to turn their knowledge and expertise into a business, in either the cyber security or digital communications fields, they can enter the acceleration process supported by Startup Foundry.

The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes for this activity will also award winners one full-year license of Kaspersky’s flagship product – the Kaspersky Internet Security for Home Users.
